Blochaus Art Gallery is the innovation of Artist, Markus Sebastiano.
About the Artist and Gallery Owner, Markus Sebastiano
Markus Sebastiano is a Boston, MA based mixed media artist. He primarily creates exclusive large-scale artwork, murals & installations for exclusive, upscale restaurants, hotels, brands and commercial spaces.
Markus's unique style of layering vintage paper, digital art transparancies, spray paint, acrylic, and resin has helped make his work very recognizeable. People often comment that they have never seen work like this before.
He draws inspiration from textures of the past to combine them with contemporary photographic elements. Whether it's a female portrait or a decaying city street, the same process is applied. He toggles between the digital painting world and the physical, often switching back and forth in order to chase his vision of a completed work of art.
Markus refers to his style as “Vintage Future". Over the past decade, Markus has continued to gain loyal followers and collectors internationally. He has created custom artwork for global brands and celebrities such as Lululemon, Coca-Cola, SAP, Absolut Vodka, Jameson Whiskey, Lil Jon, HGTV, BRAVO, W Hotel, Yotel, Cambria Hotel, AC Hotel, Sagamore Hotel, and more.
His personal work has been exhibited throughout the US and has made appearances at international fairs including LA Art Show and Art Basel Week in Miami.
In January 2021 he began his journey of creating NFTs. The digital art /crypto-based marketplace felt like a home away from home which he had been in search of for the past 20 years. He has had some notable success in the space and plans to continue to experiment with the digital art form.
In 2021, Markus launched Blochaus Art Gallery in its new retail location in Newburyport, MA. As an artist-owned gallery, he continues to promote, and showcase established contemporary artists alongside emerging up-and-comers. The inspiring new space promotes and hosts art openings, curated experiences, live music, special events, movie productions, and photoshoots.

Award-winning stylist, Taylor Greeley, will be curating the latest spring/summer trends from local Newburyport, MA boutiques to ensure you leave with a wealth of knowledge on the must-haves for your closets. The crisp spring air will have arrived, and she will be excited to show off the fresh and playful pieces that will breathe new life into your wardrobes. Showcasing pieces from Charleston & Coco, Vaalbara Supply, and BC Essentials, she will artfully pair the different pieces, creating head-turning outfits that are both effortless and stylish.
By the end of this fashion showcase workshop, you will leave inspired, confident, and eager to put your newfound knowledge to use. You will have a fresh take on how to take what you already own, and add fun accessories and staple pieces from our local boutique collaborators.
